As each year, during the second week of June, the Imperial Palace of Annecy, hotel and convention centre, is the venue for the MIFA (International Animation Film Market) on the occasion of the Annecy Festival, the world's top reference for animation films.
From June 12 to 15, our building are put in the colors of the event. For the 2018 edition, the Imperial Palace is at the heart of the Annecy Animation Festival poster and we are very honored!
What is the MIFA about ?
MIFA is the professional and most famous event for the animation industry. It is for this reason that it is not open to the public but only to the accredited person.
It covers an area of 7,231 m², in the congress centre rooms and around the Imperial Palace, including 5,300 m² of marquees and relaxation area to accommodate more than 660 international exhibitors.
The market allows recruiters, candidates, producers, distributors, sellers, TV channels, software creators, ... to meet during 4 days dedicated to animation. Conferences and a radio showcase also take place during this period.

The Annecy International Animated Film Festival is THE world reference during which animated cartoons are previewed. Meetings are also organized with talented directors.
On this occasion, and in addition to screenings that take place in several rooms of the city, a free broadcast on a giant and outdoor screen is projected every evening on the "Pâquier" of Annecy for the greatest pleasure of all!
In 2018, Brazil is in the spotlight: it will have a stand of 45m ² and 5 shorts on the theme of Brazil will be broadcast before each screening.
