June 8–14, 2025
The must-attend event for the animation world returns to Annecy! Each year, this iconic festival brings together creators, directors, studios, and animation enthusiasts from around the globe to celebrate the richness and diversity of animated cinema.
Animation in the Spotlight at the Heart of Annecy
Exclusive screenings, world premieres, official competitions, and meetings with top talents… The 2025 Annecy Festival promises a week filled with creativity and emotion. The event takes over the entire city: cinemas, open-air venues, exhibitions, and networking spaces offer total immersion into the fascinating world of animation.
MIFA 2025 at the Impérial Palace
The International Animation Film Market (MIFA) will be held from June 10 to 13, 2025 at the Impérial Grand Annecy Congress Centre, located within the grounds of the Impérial Palace.
It is the world’s largest professional market dedicated to animation, gathering over 550 international exhibitors.
Project presentations, B2B meetings, and industry panels are also hosted in our dining areas. This unique networking hub — along with temporary structures set up on the surrounding lawns — becomes the epicentre of the global animation industry for four vibrant days of discovery and exchange.
Access and Dining During MIFA
To ensure the best experience for accredited guests, our restaurants La Brasserie and Le Riva will offer a limited menu from June 9 to 13, with lunch service reserved for MIFA badge holders.
A few dinner tables will be available. Regular service will resume on Friday evening, June 13.
Hungary in the Spotlight in 2025 🇭🇺
The 2025 edition will shine a light on Hungarian animation, celebrating over 110 years of creative history. The official festival poster, designed by Raman Djafari, draws inspiration from Hungarian folk traditions, with floral motifs influenced by Kalocsa embroidery and the colours of the Hungarian flag.
This theme will be featured throughout the week with a curated selection of films, retrospectives, and talks highlighting Hungarian animation talents and heritage.
