Worldwide references for the animated movies, with no less than 10,000 people accredited to these events, the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and the MIFA will be back from Monday 13 to Saturday 18 June for a 100% physical edition.
Mickael Marin, director of the festival, aspires to an innovative and qualitative edition...
This year, the poster, of exceptional refinement, is the work of the artist Laurent Durieux who "awakens the imagination by telling a story in an image with both retro and futuristic aesthetics. His universe, recognizable among thousands, takes us on a beautiful journey whose destination is: Annecy, its lake and its Festival! This renowned poster artist usually designs, among other things, alternative posters for cult films by Francis Ford Coppola, Steven Spielberg or Paul Thomas Anderson.
The Festival
With highly anticipated previews of Minions 2, Spider Man 2 and Buzz Lightyear, prestigious guests such as Michel Ocelot, the father of Kirikou, Jennifer Lee, director of The Snow Queen, Joe Dante, creator of the mythical Gremlins, and the return of the open-air screenings on the Pâquier, which are so dear to the hearts of the local public, this edition is sure to leave its mark. New this year is that sessions will take place from 8pm Monday to Saturday (excluding Friday).
A place for exchanges and meetings between artists, producers and the audience, the 2022 edition will also allow the general public to discover the latest productions of prestigious studios such as Pixar, Dreamworks and Disney. In addition, this year, the Animated Festival will pay tribute to Swiss animation by showing more than 14 programmes and a large delegation of professionals at the MIFA presenting the most important creations and artists in the history of Swiss animation.
Come and take part in this not-to-be-missed public event and celebrate the creativity and diversity of animation styles and techniques!
